Operating Result for the second quarter of 2009

SBN 023/2009 August 13, 2009 Subject : Operating Result for the second quarter of 2009 To : The Managing Director, the Stock Exchange of Thailand Sabina Public Co., Ltd. would like to clarify the operating result of the second quarter of 2009 as follows:- For the second quarter of 2009, Sabina Public Co., Ltd. had the total revenue from sales & service amount 380.44 million baht which decreased by 16.78% or equivalent to 76.71 million baht from the same period in 2008. This was the result from the reducing in sales revenue of OEM department amount 101.31 million baht due to economic crisis in USA and Europe, the OEM customers reduced their orders and concentrated in ordering cheaper products according to the reducing in demand from the end customers. The increase sales revenue of 24.95 million baht from Sabina-brand products was unable to compensate with the decrease sales revenue from OEM products. This was the result in reduce of the company's total revenue. The cost of goods sold amount 237.48 million baht for the second quarter of 2009, which decreased by 39.97 million baht or 14.41% from the same period in 2008. The Company had a gross profit of 142.96 million baht or 37.58%. For the second quarter of 2009, the Company had Selling General and Administrative expenses of 131.22 million baht which increased by 12.91 million baht or 10.91% from the same period in year 2008. Due to the second quarter of 2009, the company had sales promotion expenses in order to increase sales for product under trademark of subsidiary. The company had the operating profit of 11.74 million baht or3.09% by operating these activities. For the second quarter of 2009, net profit of the company was 6.54 million baht, which decreased by 40.99 million baht or 86.24% from the same period in year 2008.
