Operating Result in the first half year of 2009

SBN 020/2009 August 11, 2009 Subject : Operating Result in the first half year of 2009 To : The Managing Director, the Stock Exchange of Thailand Sabina Public Co., Ltd. would like to clarify the operating result in the first half year of 2009 as follows:- In first half year of 2009, Sabina Public Co., Ltd. had the total revenue from sales & service amount 758.11 million baht which decreased by 17.9% or equivalent to 165.31 million baht from the first half year of 2008. This was the result from the reducing in sales revenue of OEM department amount 186.61 million baht due to economic crisis in USA and Europe, the OEM customers reduced their orders and concentrated in ordering cheaper products according to the reducing in demand from the end customers. The increase sales revenue of 21.65 million baht from Sabina-brand, this was the result in reduce of the company's total revenue. The cost of goods sold amount 474.41 million baht in the first half year of 2009 which decreased by 90.71 million baht or 16.05% from the first half year of 2008. The Company had a gross profit of 283.70 million baht or 37.42% in the first half year of 2008. The Company had Selling General and Administrative expenses of 265.24 million baht which increased by 30.09 million baht or 12.80% from the first half year of 2008. Due to the first half year of 2009, the company had sales promotion expenses in order to increase sales for product under trademark of subsidiary. The company had the increase sales performance amount 18.46 million baht or 2.44% by operating these activities. In the first half year of 2009, net profit of the company was 12.22 million baht which reduced by 91 million baht or 88.16% in the first half of 2008.
